Review: Bri and Ash were adorable in this steamy, second-chance romance novel. Beginning in heartbreak, Brianna comes home from college, full of dread at the possibility of seeing her high school boyfriend and first love after he broke her heart years before. Coming back was her decision, since she wanted to start off life with a good job and pay off debt, but she really missed being home.
Ash never left home after high school. While he and Bri dated for a couple years after school, he focused on taking over the shop and dealing with a major family secret, that ended up hurting more than just his family. A couple years after the breakup, a friend tells him Bri is back and he is overwhelmed with all the thoughts of how to win her back.
This is a sweet story of true love never fading, second chance reunion, and honesty healing hearts. The story was great and ended in a happily ever after, however I felt the ending was rushed and ended abruptly. I would have loved to read a little more about how things played out, maybe even an epilogue of how they're doing a few months or a year later. I am hopeful the short ending may be leading to a potential sequel but not sure. Overall, great and quick romantic read with a few steamy. scenes.
