Review: Greer Rivers knocked this romantic thriller out of the park. Escaping Conviction was an exciting, nerve wrecking read full of old love/hurt, human trafficking, and legal issues. The perspective is his/hers/other as it touches on viewpoints of multiple character, not just the leading lady and male counterpart.

This is part of a series but I’ve been told the individual books will be standalone with similar plots. The content is mature (18+) as it deals with human trafficking, some military memories, and a small handful of sex scenes.

The book is wonderfully written with little to no grammar/spelling issues. The plot does not disappoint and the storyline is a HEA. The love story is full of old hurts, second chances and frustrating interruptions from an entitled stalker of an ex-friend/lover. And my favorite character is the leading lady’s assistant/best friend because, well, just read about it. You’ll see for yourself. ;)

Overall, this book was a refreshing romance, no cheese, and full of the alpha, yet realistic, military protective love for his woman and family.
