Review: I got this book as an free ARC from the author and am pleasantly surprised (this is my genuine review - not paid for by author). I love a good "enemies to lovers" trope and this book did not disappoint. The story follows the two perspectives of Shax and Kheone after some time has past from the "Second Fall". The First Fall being Lucifer & his angels falling from Heaven. The Second Fall is when the gates of Heaven & Hell are demolished and the angels and demons fall to live amongst the humans. Shax, being a higher level demon, has orders to kill Kheone but with Lucifer out of the picture, he is trying to decide how he wants to live while the orders buzz in his head. Kheone is an angel with the rank of Lieutenant under the last surviving Archangel, Michael. In this book, you will witness their flashbacks of fighting before the fall and their jolting reunion on Earth, that leads to an unlikely duo learning to trust each other to get answers. Trust that turns into more than friendship and a battle uncovering secrets that they never saw coming. Cannot wait for the sequel!!!
