Review: If you love family friends to lovers trope, cars, military guys, and hidden relationships, then this the book for you. This was the perfect book to read between high fantasy/world building series, as I needed a mental break from the intensity. This book was not boring at all and while some may consider it YA because of the writing style, I'd lean more towards New Adult based on the semi-spicy content. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about a girl that wasn't too feminine and not afraid to get her hands dirty. The perspectives swapped between M & F characters, and helped immensely with keeping up with the relationship. While the relationship grew quickly over the course of weeks, the writing style felt like a slow burn romance. Family and small town drama kept things interesting but the characters were still relatable. While I would consider this an happily ever after for the couple, there was a bomb dropped at the end of the book that gives me hope for future Russo family books.
